excellent!! i needed confirmation that the problem was beyond the worn brushes...so unless the alternator ground is really bad its time for a rebuild :)
i suppose the output current is irrelevant to the VR which only measures output voltage and adjusts the excitation current accordingly, no?? so thusly a "90amp" VR equals a "110amp" VR.
