Intermittent high idle, '90 80

Hi all,

Patient is my daily driver, '90 80 2.0E, 3A engine, 113 hp.

Sometimes after driving it hard when you coast to a stop the idle won't
come down but stays around 2-2.5k rpm. Giving it some throttle usually
brings it down to around 1k but even then it's a little fluttery.

It does this only if I use it on my daily commute for a couple of days,
i.e. 90% gridlock. After the trip to Techno Classica Essen a week ago it
was as smooth as silk.

Should I add some fuel system cleaner?
