help with vin number....

just thought id find out what my vin told me..... carfax did not accept it
as being valid, although it may because im in the uk!!
the vin is wauzzz8azla****** (dont need the last bit). first bit is simpl,
made in germany by audi.... but the zzz8az is the bit i cant decipher, they
dont show on any info i can find on the internet.... im just doing out of
interest!!! incidently, just found out its a 1990 instead of a 1989!!
culprit is a 90q.
and if anyone can run a check on its history, mail me of list, ill be
interested to find out!!!
