Well, first off, the cat appears to be working great! It's keeping the HCs
waaaay down despite the fact it's running so fat it must hurt your eyes to
even be near it. You'll need to check the fuel pressures using the correct
gauge setup, check the return line for blockage, check the fuse (!) for the
engine electronics, then the electronics themselves, make minor adjustments
to fine tune the mixture after all that,and change the oil and filter after
you solve the problem. Might want to have the Bentley at hand, there's a
pretty good chapter on troubleshooting this sort of problem. It's unlikely
to be a simple adjustment. Might be, but probably not. On further
thinking, look at the wiring for the O2 sensor. I've seen connector repairs
that crimped the grounded shield to the signal wire, making the car run full
rich all the time. HTH, John
