Good guess.  In the days before supercomputers
"simulated" real world testing, lead times of several
yrs. for all new or heavily redesigned models?  I
thought that's the way I remember it.  Multi-point
electronic injection was coming in (87 Dorf truck has
it) so maybe EFI.  Not sure of Bosch's developement on
the Motronic computer in 87?  Anybody know whether
Bosch had it this early?
