Steering rack hose

Fay:

Before you have your old high pressure hose from the pump to the rack
rebuilt, if you have a Napa auto parts store around, they have this hose
for around $28.00 (vs. the $175 that the stealership gets).

I have used both - a genuine Audi hose on my old TQW and the Napa hose on
my 5kcstq.  The Napa hose has the correct damper in it, and has a lifetime
warranty.

The Napa hose is ever so slightly noisier than the Audi one, but for $100+
difference in price I can live with it.
