Ever wonder why cars equipped with Xe lighting from the factory come with
proprietary reflectors and lenses, quick-acting aiming motors and a
bewildering array of sensors and computers which measure speed, loading of
the vehicle and angle, never mind the high-powered headlight washers? I
don't think manufacturers do that because they're enamoured with
overly-complicated technology.

I shudder to think what I'll encounter when the Golf GTI/Civic etc. brigade
gets their hands on a cheaply-made HID upgrade. Guess I'll apply for a gun
licence and go a-headlight huntin'...

Yes, this applies to any badly-aimed light. But give me a badly-aimed 60W
H4 over a badly-aimed 'fries  rabbits at twenty paces' HID anytime.
