My '90 V8q had the hood resprayed back in September.  Although the hood looks great from a distance, I do have bubbles and even some discoloration.  I would not recommend them, but I didn't do the sanding myself, so can't say about that.  It might help.
I'm also sure they've done some fantastic jobs for others.
