Just curious: Has anyone converted a V8 to a 5cyl MC Engine?

The V8s are sure beautiful cars, and it seems that owners of these cars
tend to scrap them if the engine needs a significant amount of work (I'm
generalizing here).  Since it's a type 44 body, has anyone converted one
of these to a 5 cylinder?
