Not yet... it is indicative of the need for more diagnostics. A leak
down test, for instance, which pressurizes each cylinder at TDC and
measures how much pressure is being lost. At that point, you can
usually hear where the air is going - that is your leak. If it comes
out the tail pipe, its an exhaust valve. Out the intake, its an inlet
valve, and if it comes out the oil dipstick tube it would be rings,
probably.
