rusty rotors

Are your rear rotors rusting on the braking surface?
The area of the face swept by the pads? If that's
where they're rusting, your proportioning valve is
probably stuck or not adjusted correctly. Or there's
air in the rear lines. No disks should rust on the
swept area unless they're sitting for a long time.
BTW, I drive in the salt pond also. My Ate atom
grooves rusted terribly. Especially in the vent
region.
