1st pic looks to be an adjustable wastegate, if so how does this work? What
are the advantages/disadvantages?

2nd pic on the right looks to be a boost controller. Just for kicks I pulled
the knob up (making it active) then turned it counter clockwise. Its seems
that it reduced the maximum boost, needle is now close the top of the boost
guage instead of pegging off the scale. Also the powerband seems smoother. When
I originally got the car, it seemed the the boost was pegging out the 15psi
auxillary gauge and maxing out the stock one and offering lots of boost, but
stumbling. I have sinced removed the auxilary so now I only have the stock boost
gauge for reference. FWIW The car is said to be TAP chipped. On the left
there is a wired valve (?) in the plumbing as well. Wires lead to the interior.
Hose on the left connects to the wastegate.
