Perhaps this is already in the archives or obvious to all.

To restore the pitted outer surface to 99+% new smooth and shiny, do the
following:
--wet sand the surface to a milky appearance starting with 320 grit
--repeat using 800 grit, then 1200 grit, then 1500 grit

When you finish, the surface should be dull shiny and show very, very few
pits.

Polish the surface with Turtle Wax white polishing compound or equivalent.
Finish with clearcoat polish and then wax. If you did this right, you will
have mirror smooth turn signals / dummy lenses.

To clean the inside of the turn signals, use glass cleaner, a toothbrush,
your fingers and some cotton swabs. Got a little green stuff on the inside of
the lense? Remove with chlorine bleach diluted 1:3. Careful not to get the
bleach on the relector surface.

Rinse well and dry.

Got a little green stuff on the inside of those dummy lenses? You can
CAREFULLY separate the clear lense from its back plate using a thin metal blade.
Use Windex or equivalent ammonia based cleaner. Be gentle on the backside of
the clear lense, as the silvering is fragile.

You will be amazed. You can do the same thing with the amber corners.
