rear amp recall

Recently I contacted the local audi dealer to check recall's on my '91200 w=
ith original radio and audi/bose speakers, specifically about the rear amp.=
 Acording to the vin it was due.
After the dealer inspected the part number on the board he said it wasn't i=
ncluded in the recall.
Has anyone else had this experience?
The rear speakers do squeal and pop some.No weird noises with the rears unp=
lugged.  I didn't pull the amps out myself to inspect the caps, but might t=
his be a sign of impending doom or is it just normal failure of the radio o=
r amps?
