I think you guys are thinking of "Wix" filters.

There is such a thing as a wick filter, but it's for humidifiers or something.  (did a search just in case there were two brands)

That's the brand I was trying to remember.  I used one
of thier gold filters once with good results.  It had
Wick printed somewhere on it.
