Luke,
  Read the two messages again.  You just confirmed what I said
as being "correct".  I said the "sport quattro" had the same
rake as the 4000, "otherwise known as the 1984 Audi 80. "same
car".  YOur correct about the glare, but that glare was first
noted on the ur-quattro's, not just the early works Sport
Quattros.  Hence the change to the upright windshield.  I made
no mention of conversions, and in my opinion, the conversion
look VERY funny with the coupe windshield.  IF your reply was in
regards to my comment about the steeper windshield being
"necessary", I would agree with your statement and I used a poor
choice of words, as it isn't necessary, it just looks funny with
the couple windshield and it was "necessary" for the rally
drivers due to the glare.  :-)
  Anyhow, in the later pics that Todd ???? posted, we can see
that indeed, as you say, the conversion done on that wannabee S1
includes the 4k glass and shorter doors.  Very nice conversion,
Is it really an aditional 10,000 to do that.  I cant see
replacing a roof and pillars beign THAT expensive, body shops do
it all the time in Roll Overs.  Either way, Thats the proper way
to do it.  Glad it was done right.
