Thanks to Todd young, I have the tensioning adjustment on my 1993 90Q under
control.
But I am one step short of finishing the AC rebuild. I can't figure out
where the little conical screen goes in the AC system on this 90. In my 1990
200, it was in an AC connection where two tubes screwed together in front of
the passenger, along the firewall. In most cars, it's on one side of the
dryer. But neither seem to be the case on this car.
'm not 100% sure that this system is original since the car has 126KL on it,
but the compressor and dryer are both Audi part numbers - the dryer was made
in Japan by the "Showa Aluminum Company", but also has the Audi part number
and logo on it. Neither the old or new dryer has either an inlet or outlet
sized to fit the screen I have.
Has anyone done an AC rebuild on a 90? If so, whereinheck was the little
conical screen located in the system???? As soon as I learn this, I can go
on with life........
