I had this exact same thing happen with my Audi dealer. Went into their
service department and asked the guy about some parts i needed.
Went something like this:
I need such and such part.
What's your car?
83 Quattro
That doesnt tell me anything.. what model?
Quattro
Sir, quattro just means its four wheel drive, and theres lots of different
audi's with quattro. What is the model?
Quattro
Ugh... is it a two door or four door?
Two (should have said four)
Coupe?
Yes (no its a 2dr sedan)
Then he fiddles around for a while...
Ok lets start over... you said 83 Audi??
What a moron. And this is at an Audi dealer!
And yes, i was watching his screen, and if he had just pushed 1983 and then
audi, it would have given him an option to just put quattro.
Its also amusing watching the manager yelling at the young bucks working the
shop to get back to work because theyre all standing in the garage door
looking at my car.
