I don't think you're going to find a VAG style data port on an '87 5K to
hook ProDiag up to. The ECU sends codes via the fuel pump relay ... perhaps
there's some way to hook up via this link, or perhaps you can interface via
the ECU pins directly ... the ECU isn't that difficult to get at behind the
kick panel adjacent to the front passenger's door. I'd recommend that you
contact Shade Tree for more info. If you find that it does work please let
us know (or post on the Pro Diag list) ... it would be a bonus to me to find
out that I can read codes from an MC engine as well ...
