CGT: Anyone BTDT on retrofit of Aero style headlights to earlier 4-lens style?

It'd look somewhat strange, since the straight grill and headlight frames
wouldn't line up with the new-style bumper. You'd have an ugly gap there
and nothing to cover it with.

My suggestion would be to look for single-bulb H4 aero-style headlights
from a 1985/'86 European Audi 80. Those would fit your grill, side markers
and bumper perfectly. They're in fact H4 versions of your current lights.
