2 Custom Tranny Gears

I'd beleive it.
The a6 4.2 gets 1 more MPG than the 2.7tt
(Reading the window sticker at a dealership.)
No way I thought, but bigger mussle means less work, unless you idle alot in
traffic.

4th gear in the new tranny was higher than the
4th (top) gear in the old box, and 5th was too high to use anywhere but on a
really flat stretch of highway.  That little 1.7 was workin!  My actual fuel
mileage was actually reduced because I had to keep my foot in it just to
keep it moving .............  John
