mobil agrees that sythetics are more leak prone (well kinda)
what they say is mineral oil makes sludge which plugs holes OR
in very old engines with low tolerenaces you have to seat with mineral
because it has bigger molecules which will plug the holes.
so both sites agree if there are holes, first synthetic will clean away
the mineral oil plugging them, then leak through them.
mobil says you should fix the leaks, as there always was a problem
just a hidden one, and continue to use mobil 1.
i like that logic... its better to have good seals and good sythetic
oil than bad seals, a sludge filled engine and lower quality dino oil.
but if you didnt care you would be using synthetic...
