Last drag race for a wile...results

Hey guys,
Figured I'd give you all an update on the good old Quantum Syncro.
I got back to the drag strip tonight and packing a "retarded size"
intercooler, 110 octane leaded race fuel, and a helmet I was planning on
breaking into the 12s in the quarter mile.
As is usually the case with my car, things didn't go quite as planned.
After fixing a leaky turbo oil drain hose, the tech guys let me on the
track. Everyone was laughing at me (of course!) and a group of people in the
stands beside my cohorts said something to the effect of "what the F*#@ is
that?!"
So I roll to the line with my boost controller (Shrapnel knob) unhooked
limiting me to the stock 6psi. I rev it up, mash the throttle, let the
clutch out, get a bit of wheel spin, and tear off a scorching 13.9 @ 98 MPH.
Not too bad I say to myself, and with the turbo and ECU capable of 21psi,
I'm pretty sure that 12s will be had by the end of the night.
I crank up the boost to about 12psi, hammer the throttle, and the car takes
off more violently than ever before, at the end of second gear I figure I've
got 12s in the bag with a little more boost. After shifting into 3rd gear
the car starts hesitating and I back off. I play with the fuel map a little,
richen it here, lean it out there, no change after about 4 passes. On the
5th pass I hit third gear, lose traction on 3 or 4 tires (REALLY slippery
track tonight), and then nearly smack the wall. After the wall got close, I
backed off the throttle and figured I had enough for one night.
6psi is where the car stands right now, and will be for a wile since I'm
leaving for college next week. I'll be back to play with it in the winter,
maybe I'll fix the problem and start making some real power.
I've got some pictures and videos, I'll put up some links for them when I
put them on the web.
Anyhoo, just an update for everyone. Not too bad for a POS VW and a 200k
mile MC long block.....
