Replacing my 87 5ktq -- my 2 pence worth

Hi All,

Looks like I have another rationale for keeping my 81 5KT with 330K+ miles.
When I push the accelerator, it goes; when I push the brakes, it stops.
It's funny to watch the wrenches at the hoity toity shops go over my car and
come back with a long list of things to fix a la "left rear window doesn't
work", "right rear window doesn't work", "needs window motors", la de dah.
BTDT. They work if I clean the connectors. No safety items except the
always debatable: "I can't see my reflection in your brake discs; they need
replacing."

Hooray for Doyt.

BTW. Some of you may remember that I solicited help for my Mother in Law in
Alexandria with her cherry '85 - 5K. Her son finally helped her trade it in
for a new A4, and she hates it. But, I'm off the hook for helping, for I
had nothing to do with it.

RAL.

Cheers!

Jim Jordan
