im talking 1920s and earlier
direct quote from "the history of progress" the audi factory
official history book
" audi's first six-cylinder model appeared in 1923 with an all-alloy engine"

or

"an audi engine cast in pairs, non-detachable cylinder head and light alloy
cross-member" (1913)

ill find the exact quote i was referring to as well
something like 'august horch was the first automobile engineer to experiment
with lightening alloys.'
but ill get the exact quote...
maybe ill post some of the other really cool tidbits from this book...
