Considering purchase of A6 2.7T

Hi all,
After a brief flirt with almost purchasing an old V8 I've decided my best
course of action is to acquire a 2000 or 2001 A6 2.7T 6 speed.
I'm hoping that some of y'all can help me with any problem areas to look for
and/or are there any significant changes/options different between the two
years?
