Well the first thing to do is hook up the VAG-1550-3427-B/3 hyper-plasma
powered diagnostic tool to all the exposed wires and pull the codes.

This is absolutely a dealer-only task. Yes, I know there is a LOT of talent
on this list, but this particular item is simply beyond all of us, and
would probably even give the legendary Phil Payne pause.

In order to get to the dealer, find a sheet of the finest aviation grade
corrugated cardboard, cut a patch, and MIG weld it into place. Then cover
with "shoe-goo", you know, the stuff they use to fix athletic shoes. Paint
to match - pearl paint is hard to match on tires, but it CAN be done.
