Just for the currious, the Alfa heads were DOHC 2v for MANY years. Fiats
too, not to mention the Lotus DOHC 8v heads for the Ford 4 cylinders.
And I'll jump in and agree with the underpowered at 150hp comment you made
as well. With 2.5 liters and probably 20+ valves that motor has the
potential to be a real powerhouse (nothing like a turbo motor, but you
know). Heck the yellow Eurosport Rabbit that wins at Dubwars every year is
putting down 160+ HP to the wheels with a 2.0 20v naturally aspirated.
I wonder what the chances are of this new 5 cylinder having a similar
bellhousing to anything else....
Oh yeah, in the new Golf is this thing going to be a sidewinder or
longitudinally mounted, anyone know?
