tachometer signal revisted, LONG

I am very curious as to the outcome of this discussion, since I want to 
run an ex-Audi tach in my 8-cyl truck at some point, and it would be 
nice not to have to re-mark the dial... if they truly are "adjustable," 
or resettable, at least, that would be very cool!
