Audi 200: hot start problem...

Someone wants to buy my ECU from me. Their mechanic dealing with the car
has decided that that is the fault.

Car starts fine when cold, runs perfectly apparently. Then switch off
when hot, let stand for a while, then try and start it again and it just
won't. I did not confirm whether the engine cranks over at all, but I
assume it does 'cos it apparently takes some time before it starts. I
can only think of leaky injectors maybe.

What else to check? Just want to relay info when I call the mechanic.

I haven't seen the car, or call the mechy yet, but sounds like a typical
guy who doesn't know how to pull the codes to check for faults. Typical
problem over here is that if the car won't start, then replace the
engine computer 'cos, you know, that's like the Black Hole and just not
like a carburettor thing. :P
