Crimp vs. Solder & wire coloring?

No!  Hehe, ok the consensus (!?) on that was to do whatever you are 
equipped and experienced to do properly.  I think.  Probably with an 
edge in favor of crimping.

Via relays.  This would be the time to do it.  Use the stock wires to 
switch direct (fused) alternator or battery supplied power to the bulb(s).

yellow = low, white = high, brown = ground.

Ah, ok.  Crimp them on, leaving nice lengths of wire to attach later to 
your new harness(es).  I forget the pin arrangement of an H4 bulb, but I 
suspect it is either on my website somewhere, or on someone else's.
