The next thing on the horizon is "Mandatory Tire Pressure Monitors". 
Should arrive within the year on new US vehicles. Wait 'till the monkey
lads start destroying those sensors as they mount and dismount tires.

The systems are fairly complex. Rotating tires on some systems will 
require a VAG type device to reset the sensor to the correct wheel 
location AND some will not allow you to deviate more than 3 psi +/- from 
the mfg's recommended TP.

A knee jerk reaction to SUV "soft tire" rollovers?? Or something to 
confirm, that the tire that looked underinflated actually IS 
underinflated, and should be filled sometime this week before the next
off-road excursion to the mall.
