Crimp vs. Solder & wire coloring?

OK then, crimp it is (for me). Now, how are the city lights wired up typically in Europe? And how are they typically wired up when people in the USA convert to E-code lights? I will also be trying to retrofit a rear fog into the CGT. I have an rear fog switch from Europe just waiting. There is a plug that has nothing attached to it in the trunklid, 2 wires. It's right near the spot where a rear fog would have been on the center panel. Is that the fog wiring? Is the other end somewhere in my dash ready to be plugged into a switch (could I be that lucky?)? I assume I jsut need to cut a hole in the center panel for the bulb holder...right? Sorry for all the questions, I'm new to this Eurospec lighting thing...

Congratulations!

No! Hehe, ok the consensus (!?) on that was to do whatever you are
equipped and experienced to do properly. I think. Probably with an
edge in favor of crimping.

Via relays. This would be the time to do it. Use the stock wires to
switch direct (fused) alternator or battery supplied power to the bulb(s).

yellow = low, white = high, brown = ground.

Ah, ok. Crimp them on, leaving nice lengths of wire to attach later to
your new harness(es). I forget the pin arrangement of an H4 bulb, but I
suspect it is either on my website somewhere, or on someone else's.
