On my Audi 5000 turbo, (which has almost the same block) you have totwist and pull it out. Large pliers helped get it out. You probly can't resuse the old one, but you can get a new one and they seem to be the same for all I-5 motors (at least my 5kT and your Ur-Q). The part number is 035 103 635. You may be able to get this cheaper than the dealer at one of the online wholesalers, such as The Parts Connection or maybe one of the World Pac distributors. good luck.

I think it is a press fit piece, just like the crankcase vent fitting on
some engines. Which means, you would simply pull it out, if its not
rusted too solidly in there.

Please get corroboration from someone else who knows better than I,
before taking my word for this, though.

The family album does not show it as a separate part, by the way, so you
won't be able to get a new one to replace it.

Why do you want to take it out?
