cis 3 pot to map sensor conversion questions

Yup, mine does something just as weird, itll generally happen within the
transition from cold to warm (ie when the thermostat is opening). A sudden
loss of power, feeling like serious retardation. A pull of the fault codes
spits out the potentiometer code, uipon inspection of the pot, no
problems... I figure if I disconnect the wot switch it'll go away, but with
ms on the way I can wait. But I will be putting in my map sensor next week,
let you know how it goes.

This is a very interesting point that I hadn't heard of before.

My 90Q has an odd habit of sometimes turning into a dead dog in second
gear after a warm start and take-off. It then comes back quite soon,
but it is a little irritating, especially since I have replaced just
about anything I thought could affect it.

Also, since I was getting no check engine light, it didn't make sense
for it to a "full retard" situation due to engine knock.

Perhaps it's time to hook up my little harness and re-examine my
potentiometer's operation under different conditions...
