Thoughts on heavily modded UrS4?

My thoughts would be that I wouldn't be afraid of the mods. Someone who's put in things like an RS2 EM and 6 speed tranny is probably doing things right and knows what's up. Or, at least if they're a hack you could probably fix things up.
Maybe try to get it for high blue book? Granted those are lots of mods and labor, but normally it isn't reasonable to expect to get that money back. I wonder how much it would be if you took low blue book, since it was tinkered with, and added back 50% of the cost of the mods?
Another consideration is that the '92 is the first year for the ur-S4, and there might be some bugs that weren't worked out until later. This would likely be mentioned in the buying guide at http://urS4.com, and I don't recall anything '92-specific except for the rear sway bar, some kind of trip computer difference, and "maybe" a different cam positioning sensor (where the distributor normally is instead of at the cam gear?).
One way to look at it is if you bought a stock one, would you do those same exact mods? If so, and it's cheaper to buy this car, then go for it.
That plug-sucking thing is a bit of a trip. A local Coupe GT driver over here just had the innards of his Bosch Super plug go AWOL, possibly damaging a plug in another cylinder and resulting in an inability to rev freely (probably valve area damage I would think).
I heard of one other instance of this on this list, and another lister referred to a second event on this list that I must've missed. Anything think there's a bad batch of plugs out there? How do I prevent "sucking a plug"? What is that anyway?

p.s. I wish I could get the leftovers of these busted up 20vt's to play with.

I know there's a S4 list here, but I'd rather get the opinions of those whom I've grown to trust here... Would you buy a heavily modded UrS4? I would NOT sell the CGT, the UrS4 would be used for weekend driving with the wife & vacations...so it needs to be reliable enough for long trips.
1992 S4 silver with grey leather 148k but motor was replaced at 90k with new long block because the old motor sucked a plug. At the time the motor was installed it also got an rs2 manifold, turbo, injectors, programming, 3" turbo back exhaust, since then it got koni adjustables in all four corners, 10lb flywheel, center force clutch, Six Speed out of an rs2, hid conversion in all locations, e code lenses and markers, Porsche 993 bi turbo front brakes, slotted rears, borbet 17's, a4 16's, stock 16's, car has had lots of routine maintance and been loved but desperate measures are here please let it go to someone who will drive it and appreciate the supercar it is. Asking 15k or b/o should easily be worth that in parts alone.
Now, I would have to get financing on this car, and I doubt the credit union would finance the car for anything more than blue book, and he is asking WAY over bluebook. So I would have to get him to come down quite a bit and I would throw some cash in... Thoughts?
