There are adapters that drops speaker level signals to line level
signals which allows head units that do not have line level outputs
to drive external amplifiers. However, on the Bose systems there is
the possible further complication that the head unit may have customized
frequency response to complement the speakers, and the adapter won't
solve that problem if you're switching to aftermarket amps and speakers.
This is model-specific, though, and may or may not be an issue on
your car.
