Mine is set up similarly, with the remote display off to the right. On my
200T and now my S6 I had to fashion a small wedge of wood to provide a
horizontal mounting plate for the V1. I covered it in roofing fabric.
The newer V1s are about 1/3 or 1/2 inch more compact (height) than the older
ones and this is particularly obvious when mounting them this way.

One of these days I'm going to take out the instrument cluster and bury a V1
remote display in the center of the IC where the trip computer readout
should be. (I think only early S4s had the trip computer, the rest of us
just get a plastic panel)
