Yes, it is. But do yourself a big favor -- don't think
it makes you Superman.  In snow and ice, your 4
tires and brakes are no different than the 4 tires 
and brakes on a 2WD car.  If you go too fast, you 
won't be able to stop faster.  And even quattro
has it's limits -- look at the number of SUVs that
slide off the road because the owners thought 
AWD repeals the laws of physics.  Take it easy 
and enjoy the ride.
