Can I suggest that you check *very* carefully that the LT side of the coil
is connected the right way round, being sure what the wire colours signify.
If not you'll get a weak spark and damage the coil.
When I first bought my Type$$ I had a weak spark until looking at the
replacement coil I noticed that the connections were arse about face. IIRC
It's easy to do because the +ve connection is black, and your monkey lad
mechanic (at least in the UK) assumes black means ground.
