Replacing my rearview mirror

Just to add to the experiences here, I got a new mirror from the dealer a
coupla months ago for my 87 CGT. It was available in black or dark brown. I
should have got dark brown, but ordered black, no biggie. The part no for
black was 855 857 511 01z and priced 33.25GBP at 5% discount.

As regards type 44 mirrors my only reference is the later revised interior
(teardrop dash type) models, which has a very nice, largeish mirror. But
that one won't fit a 4k mount, maybe the earlier T44 will, I don't know.

However it's no big deal to fit a new mount, - heat gun to remove old, and
glue to fix the new foot is cheap.

 Cheers,

rob
