Wheel and tire upgrade needs to fit..

Hey guys,
     This is a little premature but I have my 89' Audi 200 TQ sedan and am 
already set to purchase new rims and tires for her. What is the widest tires I 
can possibly fit on her?? She is lowered 2" via custom wound springs and V8 
shocks. My current running gear is a set of 16X7" OZ evolution 6 spokes  with 41 
mm offset with 205/45/16 Eagle HP's. No clearance issues. The front stick in 
too far. I might space them out 10 mms. 

I'm looking now at a set of 16x7" rims with 35mm offset. and I want to 
atleast run a 215/40/16 or possibly a 225/40/16 set up. 

Help me out and let me know..

If I go with 17's I'd run 17x7.5" 35mm offset with 215/45/17s
