Computer codes? 1111

I do some chipping/upgrading, and get some bad ones occasionally I have seen a few odd codes. My one and only experience with code 1111 was a bad ECU. I was not able to find out what exactly was wrong, as it had nothing to do with the chip installation, as the ECU had been working long before, and the chip worked fine when put in another. This was in a MAC-11 ECU.
I think you are referring to a NG setup. It sounds like the ignition ECU may have an internal problem.

Hello,
Just took my '88 80q into the shop (actually towed it
in:( due to a no start. Engine/starter just made an
abnormally loud clicking sound and attempted to
turnover.
The codes on the computer indicate an 1 1 1 1,
which they say is ignition computer.
Being such an antiquated code system I'm curious if
anyone has had any other experience with this kind of
code reading, 1 1 1 1.]
