(don't miss the vent windows. Finally got them to seal shut by shimming
the striker area of the latch so I didn't have to listen to the wind
noise.
They stayed that way for 120K miles from my purchase at 80K, to
the time I sold the car with just shy of 200K. Funny thing, I sold
the car for the same price 10 yrs ago as the price on this 40K mile
4000SQ was as of 12/8.) and in the A2 VW Golf nomenclature
- small bumpers (black) and upright 4 bucket 4 x 6 headlights.
> 85 had no alloy center caps (wheels)
Friend's '85 had the large centercaps, with 4 ring logo.
> 86-87 had center caps and 3rd brake light.
the CHMSL was the only change from '85 that I can see
BTW, fogs were availible in the lower grille, Bosch. Never
seen a real set on a car. In the box though.
