Galvanizing

I'm curious about the galvanizing on the 80/90 series and the
5000/100/200.  Are there any pictures out there?  How exactly was this
done.  I think that I remember something said about the body being dip
galvanized to a certain level, but I'm not sure.  Who can tell us about
this?

I visited the Neckarsulm factory in March, and while the metal for the
stampings is galvanized on both sides, as far as I know, there was no
"dip" or immersion galvanizing.  It was interesting to watch the body
come together, handled by robots the whole way.  At the end of the body
assembly line there was one human, brazing a seam on the lower edge of
the windshield area.  I think his job was one symbolic act, honoring
craftsmanship by a long line of conscientious, dedicated workers.
