Just replaced the outside temp bulbs on my `97A6.  Sounds similar to yours, 
sorry if it aint.  I used 2 radio shack micro lamps #7219 and soldered them 
in.  Havent had to fix the climate control lights(yet).  Buy a few extra 
microlamps, they are used in the outside mirror controls and other places.
