Audi 200 auto to manual tranny conversion...

Got an ECU question here...

It's an MC engine with the Hitachi ECU (this one's a MAC-13A). Placing
engine into a Vanagon and re-using the Hitachi ECU, but fitting a manual
transmission in place of the auto the MC was hooked up to.

Can anyone tell me what wires on the ECU loom indicate whether a manual
or automatic transmission is being used? I recall this when I was
hunting information on an auto to manual conversion, but for the life of
me can't remember the details.
