Hi Carl
I've autocrossed both my Coupe GT and my 5kcstq, I just bought a 90q20v
and will probably give it a try as well. The old Coupe was actually a
lot of fun, the power steering and brakes on the 5k died after the first
3 turns and had to run on adrenaline after that, but I was still faster
with it than with the Monte Carlo and Gran Prix rental cars I've also
tried on the same track.
I think there will be a lot of shifting with the 90q20v, it needs to be
revved, but it is lighter than the urS4 by a considerable margin and
seems to handle well. I haven't really checked what class anything will
be in, we're going to CNAC rules next year so I don't know what the
competition will be.
I have found I enjoy driving rear wheel drive vehicles most, AWD next,
and FWD least, I'm an oversteer junkie.
I usually autocross a 911SC, but I'll drive anything when it's out of
commision.
