And just what is _wrong_ with 1980's Audi technology?
It's not the technology. It's the age of the stuff. I've
often thought about upgrading my ride (especially when
I had money). I'd love a '93 V8. Call me old, but I'd
prefer the torque of the V8 and the automatic for the
daily stop-and-go. But then I think that's 10 years old.
For the same money, I could get an early A4. Then I
look at my bank account, and I think I'll keep my 200.
At least until the high-tech sector picks up again. It's
a vacuum being underemployed.
Congrats on the new-to-you car. Take good care
of it. One of us will be happy to take it off your
hands in 10 years.
