I had a crack in one of my 14-inch "snowflake Ronals from my CGT that a shop welded up for me. Still doing well. No blather about legalities or liability came up here in Colorado.

I did hit something hard with my BBS wheel and put a
good 5 inch crack in the rim. I wanted to play with
the wheel and try to weld it up. The guy I was
talking to at the tire shop (the owner) said it is
illegal for him to weld the wheel and put it on a car.
Not sure if that is a Illinois law or federal, but
you can get it done, just pay cash and don't tell
anyone. Plus can you imagine the balance problem you
will have. Chris has good prices and everything I've
asked for so far, and if you don't have to pay
shipping, to me its a done deal.

But now back to the point on how it cracked...

100q Survived last winter thanks to Chris and a new
set of wheels
